Does your business have a profitable website?

Is your website Profitable for your small business or organization?

Today, every business – big or small – needs to have a website. But simply having a website will not make a huge difference for you as a business owner. There are a few things that make a website profitable and today I will share a little about what makes your online presence into a profitable website.

Once you have these proper tools in place a customers, vendors and possible business partners will be attracted to your website and you will see alot more profits. This doesn’t happen by accident you must have a plan when building your website if it to be profitable.

Before a website can be profitable it must first be valuable. What that means is your sight must offer value to those that visit it. Does your website inspire and intrigue visitors or does it simple echo the rest of the internet in a non-distinct voice.

The days of putting up a generic website have come and gone. In fact, most marketing experts will tell you that having a poorly designed website is actually worse than having no website at all.

To distinguish your website as profitable vs. non-profitable here are a few guidelines.

  1. It must have a logical flow of information as well as a predetermined path in the navigation and site structure to take your visitors to your MDR (Most Desired Response). Whether it is lead generation or to view a powerful authority building article.
  2. You will present a profesional image of your organization. Many people will view your website before ever visiting or calling your business you will attract more leads if your website looks attractive. This includes trying to have the color scheme be consistent with the site and the rest of business. The grammer on your website correct and event thought the tone of the site is casual at times it still must portray excellence.
  3. Technology is changing at a very rapid rate and you should try to  have a website that looks like it was built this decade. Profitable website will use some of the newer technologies such as email capture boxes connected to an auto-responder and possibly feeds from your social media accounts to encage your customers in order to build a lasting relationship with customers  Building that connection with your customers will prove very profitable indeed.
  4. The last and perhaps of the most powerful things you can do to make sure you have a profitable website is to use direct response mechanism in your websites to create an action. If you engage your vistors you are more likely to generate interest in what you are doing and interest is the first step in the sales cycle and by extention the profitability cycle.

I work with local businesses in my area on almost a daily basis helping them turn their outdated websites into the customer-generating tools they were meant to be.
